The Steward's Progress is one man's long answer to a plain question: what would The Pilgrim's Progress look like if it were written not about conversion, but about everything that comes after — the hours, the body, the money, the marriage, the work, the voice, and the unseen prayer of one ordinary adult life?
Matthew Duston has written the whole road: eighty chapters across twelve countries, complete in draft, now being prepared for press section by section. Alongside the book he is building its courses — beginning with Walking the Long Account — and producing a full narration of Part One, one voice per speaking part.
Three Sheaves Press is his own imprint. Its mark — three sheaves of wheat over an open hand — is the same seal that summons Hireling out of the City of Toil on the book's first page. The artwork of the books is generated with AI image tools and composed, arranged, and typeset by the author; the words are his own.
This page is deliberately short for now. A fuller word from the author — in his own voice, not the press's — will take its place before launch.
